McCaffrey reached a major milestone in San Francisco's Week 2 game against the struggling Maimi Dolphins. The all-purpose running back scored a pair of touchdowns in the first and third quarters as the Niners seized control of the game. The touchdowns were the 99th and 100th of McCaffrey's career, and he became the fourth-fastest player in NFL history to reach the century mark.

McCaffrey was traded by the Carolina Panthers to the 49ers in the 2022 season. He scored 50 of his touchdowns with the Panthers and he has 50 in a 49ers uniform.

The 49ers improved their record to 2-0 with the 35-13 triumph over the Dolphins. Miami fell to 0-2 win the loss.

McCaffrey has been a touchdown machine throughout his career. He scored 15 rushing touchdowns for the Panthers in the 2019 season, and he also added 4 TDs as a receiver that year.

He had a huge season for the 49ers in 2023 when he rushed 1,459 yards with 14 TDs on the ground. He also scored 7 touchdowns that season as a receiver.

The 49ers took charge of the victory over Dolphins with a dominant third quarter. Quarterback Brock Purdy hit tight end George Kittle with a 12-yard TD pass early in the quarter. The quarterback fired another scoring pass to fullback Kyle Juszczyk. That 6-yard TD pass came with 5:46 remaining in the 3rd quarter. McCaffrey added his second TD run with 3:10 left in the quarter.

Both of McCaffrey's touchdowns were 1-yard runs.
