Christian McCaffrey achieved an incredible career milestone as he joined Randy Moss in NFL history following the San Francisco 49ers' 35-13 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

McCaffrey has been playing in the NFL since 2017, having his fifth season with the 49ers underway. He shines as one of the best running backs in the league, especially when he stays on the field and avoids injury.

McCaffrey flourished with his performance against the struggling Dolphins. He racked up 10 carries for 23 yards and two touchdowns while catching four passes for 43 yards.

His efforts allowed him to reach 50 touchdowns throughout his stint with the 49ers. Having scored 50 touchdowns by the end of his previous stint with the Carolina Panthers, he obtained the career feat of 100 touchdowns. His milestone of scoring 50 or more touchdowns for both teams had him join Moss in NFL history, per ESPN Insights.

How Christian McCaffrey, 49ers played against Dolphins

Christian McCaffrey enjoyed his historic day as the 49ers cruised to a convincing victory over the Dolphins at home.

The game was initially competitive as San Francisco only led 14-6 at halftime. However, they blew the game wide open with 21 consecutive points in the third quarter, a display that Miami never recovered from.

Brock Purdy was explosive with his playmaking as San Francisco flourished with his performance. He completed 20 out of 22 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns while rushing three times for 30 yards and a touchdown.

George Kittle led the receiving game with four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. Mike Evans came next with three receptions for 54 yards, while Kyle Juszczyk caught two passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.

The 49ers will look forward to their next matchup, remaining at home. They host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3 as kickoff commences on Sept. 27 at 4:05 p.m. ET.
