Andy Carroll faces possible prison sentence and is due in court
Andy Carroll is due in court on Tuesday after he was charged with breaching a non-molestation order.
The former Newcastle, Liverpool and England striker was arrested in April and he is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.

A statement from Essex Police said: “A man has been charged with breaching a non-molestation order. Andrew Carroll, 36, of Epping, was arrested on April 27 and the alleged offences relate to an incident in March.
“He is due to appear at Chelmsford magistrates’ court on December 30.”
A non-molestation order is a court injunction issued to stop a person communicating with another individual.
It can also stop someone coming within a certain distance of a specific address or place of work.
The punishment for breaching such an order ranges from a fine to up to five years in prison.
Andy Carroll’s career
The 36-year-old currently plays at National League South club Dagenham and Redbridge and has six goals in 11 games this season.
He joined them after a spell in the French fourth tier with Bordeaux and smashed in 11 goals in 21 games.
Carroll broke through at Newcastle and fired them to the Championship title in the 2009/10 season with 17 league goals.
He made a January deadline day move to Liverpool for a then club-record fee of £35m.
However, he managed just 11 goals in 58 games before joining West Ham on loan.

Carroll then headed to the Hammers permanently for around £15m and played 142 times for them.
A return to Newcastle followed by two spells with Reading and one at West Brom followed.
He then had a brief time in France before returning to English football with non-league Dagenham.
