AJ Brown pulled away from Nick Sirianni after sideline bust-up as Eagles security chief steps in

The first half of Sunday’s Wild Card playoff game between the 49ers and Eagles saw tempers flare.

In the second quarter, Nick Sirianni raced down the sideline to confront superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown, who held his ground and faced his coach.

Eagles head of security Big Dom stepped in, separating Brown from Sirianni. However, even after being pulled apart, Brown kept arguing with Sirianni.

On the FOX broadcast, Tom Brady tried to soothe things over for the audience, mentioning the two “have a great relationship.”

Sirianni also played down the argument in a chat with FOX after going into the locker room up 13-10.

“Emotions run high, especially in the playoffs. After this game, we’ll go back to loving each other. We’re fine,” he told Erin Andrews.

As for the game itself, it features two former Offensive Player of the Year running backs.

Christian McCaffrey scooped the award in 2023 and led the NFL with 413 touches in the regular season, racking up 2,126 scrimmage yards.

Barkley — the 2024 winner — failed to repeat his sensational campaign and didn’t make the Pro Bowl.

He still rushed for over 1,000 yards, but the home-run plays have been conspicuously absent.

His chance to go big against the Niners took a hit as six-time Pro Bowl tackle Lane Johnson failed in his last-gap bid to return from a seven-game absence.

The Niners landed a massive boost before kickoff with the news that O-lineman Trent Williams was active despite picking up a hamstring injury in Week 17.
