Agit Kabayel makes new fight offer to Oleksandr Usyk after blasting out unbeaten rival in statement KO

Agit Kabayel has renewed his call to face Oleksandr Usyk after stopping unbeaten Damian Knyba in his latest outing.

Kabayel was looking to retain his WBC interim heavyweight title and put his name in pole position to try and enforce a shot at Usyk in 2026.

The German talent fought on home soil against undefeated Polish slugger Knyba, who was hoping to hijack the heavy handed star’s shot at the big time.

Victory was likely to put him in a great position to force the Ukrainian champion’s hand, given he holds the full title belt.

Usyk has declared he is instead entirely focused on a potential showdown with Deontay Wilder, so Kabayel simply needed to put his name firmly in the mix.

And he did exactly that on the night with Knyba proving to be no match for the rampant German.

He performed well early on showing he could have success from range with Knyba taking some clubbing blows in the opener.

The interim champion was cut to the eye after the gruelling early exchanges and knew he needed to up the ante.

Kabayel put his foot down in the third and final stanza with relentless aggression, pummelling his rival to the body with frequent output.

He then opened a cut above Knyba’s eye as the Polish heavyweight started to absorb some damage, with his legs stiffening.

The Polish heavyweight appeared winded and out of steam before absorbing more artillery, and the referee decided he’d seen enough.

He waved off the contest and Kabayel got the job done bringing a roar from the raucous home crowd who packed out the arena.

Kabayel’s new call-out to Usyk

At the conclusion of the quickfire bout, Kabayel once again reiterated his pursuit of Usyk.

Prior to the bout, the 33-year-old had vowed to do everything in his power to cause problems for Usyk if they meet in a showdown.

And he has once again made a new plea to the champion for a bid to get his deserved title shot.

He said when the crowd shouted Usyk: “I have waited so long for this title shot.

“Last time I beat three monsters in the Riyadh Season. Give me the world title fight. I’m ready.

“Really, I’m ready. Let’s go.”

Usyk is unlikely to focus on Kabayel right now and is after the big superstar names in the division

His manager Spencer Brown then chimed in with a stadium offer: “I think we can [get him to a stadium], yes.”
