$385m teammates set for broadcast battle in new roles as FOX bring back Super Bowl breakout star

Anything Russell Wilson can do, Jameis Winston can do better.

Just a day after Wilson was announced as a guest analyst on CBS Sports during the New York Giants‘ Week 14 bye, he saw his teammate steal his thunder again.

The Super Bowl champion has earned around $315 million over the course of his career, but saw rookie Jaxson Dart steal his job after a poor start to the season.

When Dart was ruled out of games against the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers with concussion, it was Winston who took the reins.

Now, he will be rivalling his fellow passer again having been confirmed as a FOX Sports guest on NFL Sunday.

Considering his show-stealing performance on the microphone at the Super Bowl in February, fans have already declared a winner.

“Jameis gonna beat Russ in another competition,” wrote one on X.

“Can’t wait until he’s in studio full time. He will be like a combo of Charles Barkley and John Madden,” another added.

“Fox wins!!! All the great characters in the NFL @CBS picks Wilson,” a third posted.

“Jameis as an analyst is elite entertainment already,” beamed a fourth.

One response did poke fun at Winston’s habit of almost getting a win, joking: “This will be good until 12 min left in the first quarter.”

Dart has not yet been announced as a broadcaster and will probably be busy in the film room.

The first-round pick has been one of the few bright points in a season that has seen head coach Brian Daboll sacked.

Sitting at 2-11 heading into their bye week, the Giants are on course for a top-five selection in April.

With quarterback locked up as long as Dart can stay healthy, general manager Joe Schoen will have plenty of other holes to fill.

Jameis Winston has future in broadcasting

The quarterback room could look very different next year, but Winston has already declared that he is happy to stay with the organization.

He has been called a perfect teammate for his selfless dedication this season having signed a two-year contract worth $8 million in March.

Winston, who has never played in Super Bowl, could earn considerably more than that in the booth after making an incredible debut as FOX covered the Philadelphia Eagles‘ triumph in New Orleans.
